Summer Fun!
Wow, it has been a great summer for us. Jada has a social schedule that keeps me very busy.
July was a big milestone month for Jada. She became potty-trained and is only wearing panties at home and everywhere. When I finally decided that NO MORE DIAPERS, I gave her $10 to put in her purse and we went to Target. Jada, on her own, picked out new pretty panties and a colorful looking "jug" of handsoap. She carried them up to the register and paid for them herself and carefully return the change to her little pink purse. When we got home, she lined up 7 little panties and placed them neatly in a row (very important) and we talked about each one of them. They are all very pretty! I have this on video to share with her at an age when she will really appreciate this! (I still need to figure out where the pictures are.)
Jada stills love the water. Everyday I ask her what she wants to do, "swimming." She loves the water slide and has even been brave enough to dive off a diving board. OH MY. I had to practice my own swimming skills a bit to handle that one. Because these are not "still" motions, I have these great moments on video. Maybe I can manage some still pictures to post on her blog. She keeps her head under water so long sometimes, it scares me. But, I think it scares other Moms more.
Jada is helping me out by dressing herself now. She can pick out her own panties, shoes and I give her choices of clothes to wear. Then she sits down while I am getting ready to put them on. That is a big HELP!
My little girl is growing up!
I feel like Jada is growing up more and more each day!!!! She is certainly no longer a baby/toddler. She is a GIRLY-GIRL!!!!
