One Month this Week!
We are celebrating that Jada and I have been together for one month now. (December 7) In some ways, I feel as I have had her forever. I think we are connecting and getting to know each other more. We never seems to run out of fun things to do. We went to a Christmas Party and Play group at the adoption agency. Our friends Kristi and Katie took Jada to the park while I stayed home and plant 100 tulip bulbs. We have visited work several times and got to go to the cafeteria for the first time with Missy and Sue and tried all kinds of new junk food. Thanks, dear friends. ;) Jada also had to get blood drawn TWICE because she is so little that they could not take the required amount in one sitting. Jada was great for the first lab drawn......She did not cry but got mad for a quick moment when she realized we holding her tight! She was much louder for the second lab draw.
Good things to report.......is that she is sleeping well through the night and drinking from a sippy cup. Plays more by herself allowing me to get things done here around the house. We went to SMMC day care to check it out and there were so many more BIG BOYS in that class. oh my!!!!!!
I think we are connecting and enjoying each other with each passing day. Sometimes I get very overwhelmed with all the advice others have given me with good intentions. But, sometimes such advice has frustated me especially when I have been doing the best I can and people forget that Jada lived in a orphange for a year before coming "home." My favorite times are when it is just her and me playing and laughing and "talking" and bouncing on my bed.
The bad news is that I broke my camera. It was not working right anyway and then yesterday, I really broke it. But, I won't be without a camera very long. I will have a new one by the week because I don't ever want to miss a Kodak moment.
Everyone ready for Christmas??? Jada and I are Christmas this year and we thank God for bringing us together! We also praise God for such wonderful supporting friends we have had to celebrate Jada's arrivial.
Peace and Joy throughout the holidays. We love you all!
