Summer FUN!
Wow, the summer is half over this weekend (if you count July 15th the mid-point between Memorial Day and Lobor Day.) Jada is certainly a summer girl just like me. I think we have been swimming every day that I am not working. She is certainly a water girl. Yesterday, she even went down, for the very first time, the little kids' water slide. I was so proud. Pictures will be coming. On the hottest day of the year so far, we were at that pool for 3 hours because we were having so much fun on that slide.
Fireworks at Grandma's Care Center was a really big hit. Jada was amazed at the colors and bangs. I think she cheered and jumped for each one. No fear in this girl. It was a great display of fireworks thanks to all the businesses who donated to the Care Center so all the resident could be outside to celebrate our County's Independence Day. The weather for this outing was perfect! (Again, pictures will be coming.)
More summer fun includes dancing at the Concerts in the Parks, haning out and eating at Farmers' Market every Saturday morning, eating ice cream cones outside, (fast before they melt all over), slides and swings at parks, picnics, etc. In August, Jada and I are excited to be hosting some families from our China's travel group.
I am proud to say that Jada is talking more thanks to our great speech therapist and friend, Ms. Lori. We are almost potty trained. I just need to get brave enough to go out in public without the Pull-ups. At home, Jada chooses her panties every morning. She has moved up to PreSchool 2 at "school." (Childcare). We have also taken 2 dance classes at Community Centers.
Needless to say the housecleaning gets the boot most days. I barely keep up with the laundry and bills. But, who cares about having a really clean house when you have a cute little girl putting on her swim suit saying "Swim, Momma", "Lets Go!"
