Welcome/Labor Day Weekend

Hello everyone,

As most of you know, I am expecting the call from my adoption agency any time now. This is Saturday of Labor Day weekend and all recent rumors posted on the multiple message boards states that I should receive the call on Tuesday, September 7, telling me who and where my little daughter is waiting for me. These rumors tell me that my dossier is matched and my referral is enroute to my agency at this time. In other words, "it is in the mail." Yoohoooooo, this part of the waiting is almost over.

I have such a peaceful feeling at this time. I am not anxious or fretting over anything. I am just waiting with a smile.

After recieving the call, Fed Ex will deliver her picture and information to me at my home. I am sure Annie (my black lab) and I will be waiting on my screen-in porch. It will indeed be a special moment as I look at the picture for the very first time and see the face of a little girl that I will call my daughter. After "meeting" her myself, I will then INTRODUCE her to the whole world. I can't wait.

I am so blessed with friends who have waited with me throughout this whole journey. You all know who you are. Your support has totally been amazing and I am so grateful for each of you.

As a way to keep in touch, I am trying out this web page to journal my upcoming referral and trip to China. A wonderful friend and new parents themselves, Meg and John, had offered me to use their web page to journal my trip to China and pictures. But, they have found this link and suggested that I give a try. So, here I am trying out my creative writing and computer skills. With any success at all, I will be updating REAL SOON.
