HAPPY SPRING!

The sun is bright, the days are warmer, the flowers are blooming, the grass is greener and boy are we glad! We are so happy that spring has finally arrived as we get to get rid of the heavy clothes and coats that weigh us down and wear shorts and shoes (without socks) and go outside and play. We play in our sandbox, ride our scooter, take walks and play at the local parks. We are even in the process of "remodeling" our playhouse outside. I am sure pictures will be coming when the playhouse gets done.

We just got back from spending a long Easter weekend with Grandma at the Care Center. While we were there, we went on THREE Easter Egg Hunts. We even got lots of Easter Baskets from our wonderful friends at the nursing home. Jada's favorite is this bright color ball that is BIGGER than her. Mommie's favorite are these cute Jada-size plates and cups given to us by Ms. Nelda. Of course, we got way too much candy that we had to "share" with others.

Since February, Jada and I have went back "home" every other week to be with Mom as she has been sick and suffering with failing health. The trips and packing are so tiring but we wanted to be with Mom to help her and to give her lots of love through our presence. It is amazing that she is now a bit stronger, more alert and interacting with us. God bless Jada for being so loving with her Grandma and enduring these long frequent road trips.

Jada has taken PLAY to a whole new level. Pretend Play is IT! She loves to be Grandma's nurse. Here at home, we love to play with our kitchen set, our dolls, coloring, stickers, jewelry and dress-up. Jada insists on dressing herself which I must allow extra time for when we are on our way to go someplace. She is very determined and if I dress her, she will take off her clothes and do it herself. I love that determination but oh my............We are making big gains in our speaking and it is fun to converse with her now. Also, singing is a big part of our day now. Jada insists on "her music" in the car. We will both sing as loud as we can in the car with our windows rolled down. Another good reason we are happy it is Springtime. So, if you hear some loud singing at a stop light, it may be us! Jada even has a special "move" to rap music. (another oh my!) On Wednesdays every week, we have gymnastics and I get to participate with her. She is a little monkey on the balance beams, tampoline and flipping over the bars.

Now you know all of Jada current favorite things (well some of them anyway). But, my favorite is all the fun hugs and kisses I will get throughout the day. WOW! I have always heard about unconditional love but now I know exactly how it feels. No amount of money, things, work, power, or anything at all can beat the contentment and richness that I feel when Jada is sitting right next to me and freely puts her little hand on my knee or around my neck. So Sweet and Perfect! Spring is wonderful when you have a beautiful little girl to chase through the new green grass, pick pink tulips and to smell the pretty lilacs together.

SPRING IS HERE! We love spring time and being outside enjoying the earth's colors. These are the tulips that Jada and I planted last November. We have enjoyed making pretty bouquets for our wonderful friends! Posted by Picasa

Jada is already checking out the great Doctors we have at SMMC! ;) Posted by Picasa

Jada is "working" here in the nurse's station at the nursing home. See the charts behind her! She is bound to be a nurse when she grows up! That is certainly fine by me who loves taking care of others. Jada has already learn the many fundamental tasks required to be a good nurse. Posted by Picasa
