Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I am waiting for little Jada to wake up, have breakfast and then start the drive to see my sweet parents back home at the Care Center.

As I am reflecting and praying, I have so much to be thankful for. First, Jada is really home before Christmas. I never thought I would be so luckly and blessed. It has been a very tough week making the time change, being sick and just adjusting for both of us. I am hanging on to the wisdom that other adoptive parents have told me that the first week is the hardest. Second, I am thankful for all my many great and kind friends. Many of you made that long drive to the airport to meet little Jada and to show her how much she is already loved. Also, many of you have brought food over for me and her. Oh what a blessings. Originally I thought I did not need people to do that but it has been such a support to me not to worry about feeding me, even if it is just me. Also, all the emotional support and calls, wow...............you all have been so encouraging and I be so glad when Jada makes the adjustments and builds her trust to appreciate you all the way I do. And last, I am thankful to get to spend Thanksgiving weekend with my family. I pray it is indeed a blessed and special day and weekend.
