It is about time!
Boy, does time fly!!!!!!!! It has been 2 months since I have posted. I thought about quitting this web page but I still have friends asking to see pictures. It has been quite a roller coaster for me these past 2 months. Jada and I hit the 6 month anniversary. I think it has really taken me that long to adjust to my new role of being a single Mom. There have been moments when life just seemed so overwhelming to me. I never had any regrets but I just did not know how I was going to manage with everything that life required. But, Jada spirit, personality and smiles always remind me that everything is worth it. I am learning that some things just will not get done. Jada is teaching me to see the world through her eyes.
The first week of May was a very sad time for me as my Dad passed away. Even as I write this on Father's Day, my heart still feels the loss of his presence. I am so grateful that he got to see me become a Mom and to meet Jada. I do have some pictures of him and Jada and will try to get them on this blog next time. It was a blessing to have Jada with me and my mother during this sad time.
Jada and I always enjoying my favorite season.........SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!! She helped me plant my garden and is very gentle with my flowers. Today, we made a sand box in the back yard. We have been swimming, going to parks, having picnics, going on long walks, Leawood art festival, the City Market, etc. This week, we are going to go blueberry picking and walk in the Relay for Life.
I hope you all are having a great summer. I want to thank those of you who have helped me with Jada and for your emotional support these past 2 months. Jada and I are blessed with such wonderful, caring friends.
