Hello from China!!!
We are here!!!!!
It took us many hours to get here. We made it from KC to LA on time without any problem. BUT, our flight in LA for China was delayed by 5 hours which caused us to miss our flight to Beijing. I will spare you the details but we finally got here at 6:00 pm Wednesday. We were so tired after 2 days of airport and plane rides.
Today we had a great day of sight seeing with a wonderful tour guide. She is only 23 years old and her name is Susan and she teaches Enlish. She is so nice. We saw the Summer Palace where emperiors once lived before damaged in a war in 1920. Then we went to the Beijing Zoo to see the Pandas. We did see some Pandas but they were sleeping. Not much action there. haha Of course, our guide took us shopping at a pearl market and at a silk market. I am proud to say that I kept my buying to a minimal but did buy Jada some pearl earrings and silk pajamas for a future birthday present.
After Susan dropped us off, Charlene and I went walking to experienced the area here around the hotel. Lots of people and the traffic was heavy.........lots of honking. This is a very busy place here around the hotel.
Some other adoptive families from our agency should arrive tonight but most of them will be here tomorrow. (friday) Tomorrow, Susan will be back to take us on another tour of Beijing.
Three more days till I meet Jada. WOW!!!! I have to admit flying over here that I don't know how I am going to managed her on way back to the states. Please keep us us in your prayers.
I would like for somebody to email me at RNGrace14@aol.com to tell me that you were able to read this update. For some reason, I can't open up my webpage here but I could go to blogger to write this update. But, I don't know for sure that it made it to my webpage unless someday writes back to me to confirm. So, anybody...............
Bye for now.......................
