Spring 2006
I am always amaze how time flies since the last posting. Jada and I have been enjoying the warm (really, it is already hot) weather by spending most of our time outside at the expense of having a messy house. Housework is just not our thing when there are things to do outside. We have planted our garden and flowers, worked on remodeling the playhouse, going to parks, walks and today we went swimming for the first time with our friends Bridget and Maureen. Pictures to come I am sure. Last week,we finished our first "session" of gymnastics by getting our very first certificate. Jada was so brave and so proud as she walked up to the little podium and received her purple certificate and then turned around for cheers and pictures with her instructors. Pictures will be posted. I was almost weepy during this big cermony. haha..
We celebrated another Mother's Day with my Mother back at the Care Center. It was wonderful, as always, to share special times with her. Good old Mom! Jada always makes sure that she is well taken care of. At the activities, she makes sure they give her Grandma the same thing that anyone gives her. She makes me proud!
We are poopy-trained at home. I just need to find the right time to help her get "wee--wee" trained. I think when she learns to tell me that she has to go, that will come along.
Jada is talking much more now. It has taken some time, longer than most toddlers her age but she is coming along. It is obvious that she understands everything even though she may not say it. She can mimic any words but just will not say it on her own. She continues to be a very inquisitive little girl and prefers to do what I am doing instead of her toys. And she continues to be a very social and popular little girl. Friends call to have her over all the time. The only time I am apart from her is when I am working and I always get great reports about how mature she behaves, shares with others, and happy she is. I call our times with our friends, play/chat dates. Playtime for the kids and chattime for the mommies.
I am looking forward to spending my second summer with Jada.
Have a great summer, everyone!
