Together one year

One year ago, Jada and I became Mother and Daughter. All weekend I would remember what my life was like before Jada and now with Jada. I can't imagine life without her as she give me the ultimate reason for getting up every day.

I have learned so much this past year. It has been a hard but very rewarding year as I have made the transition of living by myself doing what I want when I want to having this child completely dependent on me. I have learn much about patience, being flexible and love. I have learned how to reach out to my friends more as I certainly could not be a Mom without their wisdom and encouraging words. My whole world has open up more as I have met new people and learn to do things that a toddler likes to do. I never thought I would be coloring back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, singing "the wheels on the bus go round and round", etc.

This was a year of a lot of "firsts." First Easter Egg Hunt, First Playdates, First Ice Cream Cone, First Hayride, First words, First steps, etc. etc. etc. I was thinking all the "firsts" were over now that we have been through all first year. But, then, I remembered there will be first day of school, first dance lessons, maybe a first recital, first ???? I still have so much to look forward to and I can't wait.

To my little girl, I love you even more today than I did 365 days ago. And I know I will love you even more with each passing year! Thank you for such a fun and wonderful year and teaching me how to be your mommy.
