You gotta have friends!

Tonight, I am reflecting on how blessed I am to have such wonderful people in my life. This week, I have been at top speed with packing, painting, cleaning, paperwork, shopping, organizing, etc. etc. It has been a fun week to prepare the house for Jada's homecoming. I want to thank many people who have taken time out of their own busy schedule to come over beginning with Dee who helped me cleaned Jada's room and my filthy windows. Now, I can actually see outside! Lisa who put the first coat of primer on the wood in Jada's room and now after this weekend the room is a very pretty blue and looks great! Lisa was here ALL DAY! Lorrie for all her daily support and sharing my anticipation of Jada's arrival. Kristi who helped me organized and made lists for me to make me stay focus. Leo who has been over TWICE to put up shelves and paint the ceilings. :) My neighbor, Mike, who has been over daily to do many repairs and patching jobs. I could not be ready without this man! My neighbors across the street, Doug and Shelly, for loaning me lights and painting tools and reminding me to keep "everything simple." Jackie for washing/pressing some of Jada's clothes that my own mother had made for me when I was a child (many years ago).

Also, during this time, I did take some time out to go to some play groups with other adoptive familes. Thank you, Meg, for inviting me to play with Miss Miranda and her beautiful friends. Miranda is so sweet and is a little social butterfly!

I want to thank everyone for contributing fabric pieces for Jada's 100-wish quilt. Some of you are so creative and have written such special notes to Jada. They all made me smile and Jada will surely know how many people shared in her mother's joy.

What a list!!!! Finally, I want to thank everyone for their continued support and sharing in my excitement. Your words and prayers mean so much to me. I thank God for such wonderful and giving friends. :) I could not be READY without my friends!
